The Queen of the Damned Ball

Is anyone going to this year's ball? I wanted to go to New Orleans in that period but something came up and I decided to make another trip.

I know what you mean. Maybe there's some small apartment, covered in dust, moss and broken bricks just waiting for us to recognise it.

My mother, another avid fan of the Anne Rice vampire chronicles, has always expressed a wish to visit New Orleans...

I promised I'd take her, but then the hurricane came.

After that, her wish to see the place seems to have faded. It'd be like staring at a book once complete, but now missing the pages.
