Lestat's last tale?

Post by Eva on Mon May 19, 2008 11:52 pm

I found something very interesting and it looks pretty recent, dated Sunday 24th Feb, 2008.

It seems that Anne Rice may plan to write one last book, saying "It will be a story that I need to tell."

Here's the source: Link

No. She won't do it. Check her website. She said she simply cannot write about Lestat.... and I hope she doesn't

As do I. With her newfound devotion to denying her former creativity, it would simply be a massacre of everything it once stood for.

If she was the same person she once was, then maybe I would be eager to see more...

But as it is, I would rather the chronicles died with canticle.

None of us can know for sure if she's denying it or not. It's whether she's denying it to herself that matters. She can say whatever she wants to her fans but keep the truth for herself and surprise us.

Don't think it will happen. I would bet my money on it. If she writes another book it wouldn't be as the others... Various reasons........

Hm, ah well, either way. I thought I'd already seen the message on her website before seeing the article, so figured she might have changed her mind...Mind tricks.
