Apparently, it wasn't as successful as they thought it would be. I knew a guy who auditioned for the role of Marius, and even he said he thought it wasn't quite as good as it could have been. But what about a movie? Would you like to see one made? And the actors, which would you choose? The book is quite long, twice as long as IWTV, many parts would have to be cut out, so what would you leave out? I have to say, I would have a very hard time trying to decide what ... I admit, there were chapters that weren't quite as interesting read as the rest...The very first chapter, actually. It was a bit...well, it was human. a bit ordinary. Parts about Les Innocentes didn't exactly tingle my imagination much either...but I did so love chapters about Lelio. The whole book tells an image of a completely different Lestat that makes you think what on earth has he been doing with Louis to make him so ...
