Quinn's Story

Post by LilyBlackwood on Tue May 13, 2008 8:16 pm

How did you find Quinn's story... the fact that he decided to go back to Blackwood Manor and live among his loved ones? I find him very natural which is quite uncommon between these characters. His youth makes him so sincere...
I, for one, love this character... I actually read his story with interest even if it isn't so fascinating at times.

Was there a particular scene you liked?

I loved Quinn Blackwood. Blackwood Farm was most certainly one of my most favorite books. Every ounce of it's content just seemed to work so well in my head.

I adored the ending. The very end.

Ah... The ending confused me terribly.. after so many pages of Quinn's flashback... (after you get fond of the charter(s) ) Aunt Queen dies... Merrick dies... Goblin is banished... Patsy dies... Mona is turned into a vampire... oh, lord... I was very surprised about Aunt Queen's death... I grew to love her as I knew her.

I had prepared myself for that particular blow, as well as others.

What I was -not- prepared for was Merrick. I'd grown to love her.

Merrick was one of my favourite books, and although I saw it coming, I privately hoped that it would not.

For me, it came far too soon.

Merrick... I, too, usspected such an ending for her but as you said... it came too soon. I saw somehow sad to see Goblin go as well.... as I can't find him any guilt for what he has done and what he became
